                    Medical scribes are specialists that record information from clinical encounters into electronic health records (EHRs) in real time while working under the direction of doctors. Any differences are documented once each piece of data is verified for accuracy.

                  Before visits and procedures, they locate and prepare patient records for doctors. In order to accurately record notes, observations, orders, and other important information, they travel with doctors to rounds and visits. Orders for examinations, operations, and other treatments are compiled and processed by them.

Duties of a medical scribe includes :

9. Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations.
